The Meliá Cohiba five-star hotel in Havana is one of the most prestigious hotels in the Cuban capital. It stands out due to its location and its direct views of the sea or the city, depending on the room. The hotel also has a nightclub called the Habana Café, where guests can enjoy traditional Cuban music without having to leave the hotel.

This hotel is ideal for holding conventions and business meetings as it has an events room with capacity for a thousand people. It also has different meeting rooms.

The Meliá Cohiba Hotel is located by the Havana coastline, right in the urban centre of the Cuban capital. The district of Vedado, where the hotel is located, is an important area in the city, with the famous Malecón promenade just 50 m away.

The hotel covers an area of 10’000 m² and is located around 20 km from the José Martí International Airport.

The hotel has 462 rooms, all with modern decor and a wealth of luxury details. They are classified into the following five categories:

–Standard room. A 27.3 m² room with two beds and sea views from the window. It has satellite television, ironing equipment and a hair dryer.

–The Level Room A 27.3 m² room offering greater luxury than the previous room, with, for example, direct access to the executive lounge and larger beds.

–Junior Suite. A 42.9 m² room specially designed for children. Its larger area means that your little ones will enjoy their stay too. This room has direct views of the pool.

–Grand Suite. A 56 m² room with double bed, perfect for a romantic holiday for two. Guests can step out onto the spacious balcony and gaze out to sea.

–Master Suite. This is the best room in Meliá Cohiba Hotel. It is very spacious (90.7 m²) and has an indoor whirlpool bath.

The hotel has several magnificent restaurants, allowing guests to choose the best one to suit their needs and preferences. They are as follows: Med restaurant (Mediterranean cuisine), Aqua’s Grill (grill restaurant), Great Añejo (restaurant bar with snacks and spirits), La Piazza (specialising in Italian cuisine), Plaza Havana (pure, Cuban-style decor and cuisine), Cobijo Real (high-end restaurant with gourmet cuisine) and Relicario (bar dedicated to the tasting of Cuban cigars).
